What we build

Four kinds of software, one standard of engineering

We deliberately do a few things. Each has its own page with approach, deliverables, indicative ranges and the questions buyers usually ask.

Who it is for

Built for companies that depend on software they cannot buy off the shelf

Our clients are typically 50–2,000 people, run on an ERP or CRM plus a tangle of spreadsheets and tools, and have a small IT team — or none. Common triggers:

  • Customers or partners are asking for a portal or self-service.
  • A core process runs on Excel, Access or email and it is starting to hurt.
  • A new ERP, CRM or shop needs to be connected to everything else.
  • A business-critical application runs on a platform nobody dares to touch.
  • The in-house developer left, or the agency quote was three times the budget.

Probably not a fit

  • Projects under CHF 10,000, or unpaid pitches and spec work.
  • Marketing websites, WordPress themes, mobile games.
  • Body-leasing without technical ownership.
How an engagement starts

Decide with a written assessment, not a sales call

  1. 01

    Written assessment

You describe the project in our structured form. Within two business days you receive a written reply: fit, approach options, risks and an indicative range.

    Free · 2 business days
  2. 02

    Discovery sprint

A fixed-fee, 2–3 week sprint produces scope, target architecture, integration map and a fixed price for the build. You own the documents.

Fixed fee · credited against the build
  3. 03

    Fixed-scope build

Milestones with acceptance criteria, milestone payments, a defect warranty, and a handover your team can actually take over. Afterwards: a retainer or in-house — your choice.

Why Monolith

What is different — and what we will not claim

Senior engineering on every project

The founder — a software engineer since 2008, at Infosys, Deutsche Börse, SAP and Unblu — leads architecture and review on each engagement. No hand-off to a junior team after the sale.

Enterprise discipline, mid-market scale

Code review, automated tests, CI/CD, monitoring and documentation are standard, not extras — applied to projects too small for the big consultancies’ pyramids.

Swiss contract, honest team model

A Swiss counterpart, German and English, CET working hours; an engineering team in India for capacity and cost headroom. We say so on the first page, not in the third meeting.

You own everything

Repositories, cloud accounts, documentation and infrastructure-as-code are yours from day one. Mainstream stacks so any competent team can take over.

What we do not claim

No logos, testimonials or case studies appear here until a client has given written permission. Our enterprise work is under NDA; our founder’s employment history is public and verifiable.

FAQ

Common questions

How much does a project cost?

We are set up for projects between CHF 25,000 and 250,000. Integrations start lower, modernisations run higher. Each service page shows an indicative range; the discovery sprint turns that into a fixed price. See the pricing page for engagement models.

Where is the work actually done?

Architecture, client communication, reviews and delivery responsibility sit with the founder in Basel. Implementation capacity comes from our engineering team in India, working CET-overlapping hours. Production data stays in your Swiss/EU environment; development uses masked data.

Do you have references?

We have delivered software for large companies in Germany and the USA, under NDA, and the founder’s employment history is public. We do not publish client names or testimonials without written permission. If a reference conversation is important to you, ask in the enquiry and we will say honestly what we can arrange.

Can we start small?

Yes. The written assessment is free, the discovery sprint is a fixed fee you can walk away from with the documents, and builds are phased with exit points.

Have a system that needs building, connecting or replacing?

Describe it in a few sentences. You get a written, engineer-level reply within two business days — no sales call required.
